I want to try and use the thumb drive version of JAWS. After I downloaded and installed it I deleted the application file, removed my thumb drive and then shut down JAWS on my PC. When I put my thumb back in nothing happened so I pressed the space bar and hit enter to see if that would activate it, but I still got nothing. When I turned JAWS on my PC back on there was a JAWS error message on the screen. I'm obviously doing something wrong, but don't know what it is. If it helps I downloaded V9 because I wanted to try and use it on an ancient XP computer. If anyone can tell me how to activate speech on the thumb drive JAWS I'd really appreciate it. Thanks for reading.

Once you've completed the thumb drive version on your drive the easiest way to load up is from the run dialogue. Not always accessible, so narrator may be helpful. If you happen to know the drive number, you can press windows key r at the same time, and type in drive letter colon backslash jaws9 in your particular case. so if your drive letter is say f, it should looke like
